Tips for Engaging in Our Community and Becoming a Champion

Hey team | @here I wanted to offer some tips around engaging in the community in a manner that enables one to derive the most value and also get noticed by other members (as well as the Clay team):
Spend time in Discuss Anything and if you happen to know the answer to a question, provide it in the thread – without pitching yourself (unless the author specifies that they're looking for someone to help with a certain workflow)
Make sure your answers or comments bring value to the author and to anyone else reading the thread – shallow answers that simply acknowledge the post are rather meaningless
Portray yourself as someone with specific domain knowledge by providing comprehensive answers and links to relevant resources – this is the best way to also get noticed by potential clients and hiring managers (as well as the Clay team)
Additionally, explore these channels:
GTM Career Advice: If you've found success as a GTM operator – whether at an agency or in-house – share what's worked for you and some pitfalls that folks early in their career can avoid

🔒[private feed]: A brand new channel to unlock structured collaboration between members – use it to ask for recommendations or help or any kind (please use GTM Career Advice for career-related questions)

Also, did you know you can track specific keywords and get notified every time that keyword is used in a message in Slack? Look for My Keywords in the Preferences option in the dropdown menu. This is the best way to be the first one to respond to posts that mention tools or topics that you know deeply. I highly recommend everyone to set up 3-4 keywords – these could be names of tools you're an expert at or specific features within Clay or even broader topics such as RevOps.
Most importantly, please read the community guidelines and use the right channels when asking questions or sharing resources. The quickest way to lose trust and credibility is to promote yourself or your services – doing so in channels or via DMs is also against our guidelines.
If you follow the above tips for a few weeks, I'm certain that you will qualify to be considered as a
Community Champion
– a recognition that comes with a badge and a custom frame to be added to your Slack profile. But that's not it, champions also get access to a private channel and will soon receive a host of other benefits!
