Hey everyone 👋
My name’s Bruno, and I currently lead marketing here at Clay. I’ve been with Clay for about two years now. Before that, I spent five years in growth over at Webflow, and even earlier in my career, I ran my own outbound agency.
One piece of advice I’ve been reflecting on from my own journey is to always lean into curiosity. In roles like growth or go-to-market engineering, you’re going to need a whole mix of skills, from copywriting to data manipulation and analysis. One simple thing I’ve found incredibly helpful is to look at people you admire—whether they’re coworkers or industry peers—and see how they approach problems. Notice what skills they have, whether those are soft skills like communication or more technical skills like data analysis. Then, just try to emulate them. As you start adopting their approaches, you’ll naturally learn to think through problems in a new way and build up those same skills over time.
I hope is useful to you all.
