Is anyone here interested in joining a 1-man team (me) as a partner in charge of charge of sales and marketing? Or know anyone that might be?
For context, I spent the past year building a data product for B2B sales at bloomberry.com. It's an API product, and right now it's geared towards sales platforms like Clay that want to integrate B2B tech purchase/churn intelligence into their product.
A "checklist" of my ideal partner, in order of most important first
- 1.
Someone with lots of influence, publicly on Linkedin, as a lot of B2B sales happen through Linkedin these days. So someone who publishes thought leadership stuff related to sales, and who regularly engages with other sales professionals.
U dont need to have 100k followers but you should not be afraid to be the “face” of the product and be everywhere
2. Someone who's not afraid to be hands on. You won't be directing or managing anyone. They'll be the only person doing sales. Getting on calls with prospects. Guiding them through the selling process, making sure they are happy.
3. Probably the most challenging ask: It also needs to be someone who's comfortable working with a non-trivial amount of equity (nothing "small" like 5-10%) for the foreseeable future, and no salary or commission.
About me: I bootstrapped and sold BuzzSumo (one of the most popular marketing tools) for 8 figures awhile back. I’m not looking to take VC funding at all, but rather build a business where everyone can split the profits every single year (if and when we do have profit).
I’m based around NYC.
If anyone is interested, just respond here or my email is: henley@bloomberry.com (i would prefer not to get linkedin DMs as i’m bombarded with them and ignore a lot of them)
