Where Does Enrich Company Pull Its Description Data From?

Does anyone know where the company description data is pulled from when using Enrich Company? I’ve been finding new companies on my own that do not appear in my Find Companies results and I have a feeling it is because keywords I have included are not appearing in the source for company description.

Hey Janice C. clay usually pulls company descriptions from public web data and the company’s own site if a company isn’t showing up, it’s usually because the keywords don’t match what clay has indexed.

Which keywords are you using, and what type of companies aren’t appearing?

Hi Abdul, My search is for personal injury law firms so it’s very specific to their practice area. Attached are screenshots of my inputs. It’s worth noting that I am mindful of credits, so I try to narrow my search as much as possible, so when I further enrich my table, I have an AI enrichment I wrote to extract the practice areas based on a picklist I use in my CRM with specific descriptions for each value.

the new companies you are finding have you cross checked to see if they do exist in the clay's database? by say using a geo + other filters rather than the description keywords filter? one reason could be that those do not exist and the problem isn't with the keywords you are using also on a side note to build a list of law firms you can also use google maps as a source, that might provide better coverage

kushagra t. No, I haven’t used anything other than description keywords. That’s a helpful suggestion. Let me try using Google Maps to drill down on a specific state as a test run and see what I get.
