Quick question regarding lead enrichment How exactly do you scrape websites to enrich a leads list? Is there a simple and cost-effective way to scrape a list of URLs? I want to scrape text from a website and then use AI to find info from that text
I have used a lot of web scraping tools. On the cheap or free side is Instant Data Scraper (Chrome Plugin) which I've found really useful for smaller captures (it does on-page tables really well, but you'll need to practice labeling your data by hand) and Octoparse for medium jobs - it can handle pagination, local scraping (free) and threaded+cloud scraping (premium). Once upon a time I used Mozenda (now Dexi) and that platform was a lot of fun to build on - it was like Clay-before-Clay in some ways. Its way too expensive for most use cases now, and other competitors (like Octoparse) get you most of the way there at a fraction of the cost.
There are AI tools out there as well. Someone mentioned https://www.firecrawl.dev/ last time the subject came up but I'm not sure if that was an ad or a real recc.
Thanks Aaron
You can make it the easy way or the hard way / depending on what you're scraping. I use zenrow enrichment and it gets me what I need, most of the time - sometimes with more advanced options. Apify via API, for some sites I can't crack with zenrow.
you can install and use Clay’s Chrome Extension to pull complete lists including company name, website, sectors, location, employee count & more and then use Sculptor to enrich that info. Here's how that can be done: https://youtu.be/ONadRsWE7fU?si=isYDLuC4BH8i36m4
I'm also using clay chrome extentions then enrich and verify the mails with icypeas.com. Here's the blog from Clay itself : https://www.clay.com/use-cases/extension
