Hi! Debating between moving forward with a contract with Zoominfo or Apollo? Anyone have any insight on who has more accurate data?
Read the zoominfo contract carefully. I hear it is incredibly difficult to terminate a contract and you lose the right to use the data too. What kind of data are you looking for?
Hey Priyanka, it's mandatory for members to add their full names and a profile picture to their Slack profile (pets or AI-generated portraits also work). The community feels more intimate and less anonymous when one knows who they are engaging with so will be great if you can update your profile here. Thanks in advance! 🤝
I would go with ZoomInfo between the two choices. Zoominfo has been around longer, and has a lot of data gathered via their integration for direct contact info - they also focus 100% on their data. Apollo is an all-in-one prospecting and database app, but they largely use linkedin data and 2nd/3rd party sources, so their direct contact details are probably worse. Its been a while since I used either, but I would suggest creating a test list of known good accounts and having both vendors 'enrich' it with the details you already know. That way to you can see which vendor is a better fit for your data set and market.
Adding some nuance here — it really depends on the region and data type you need. From our experience: ZoomInfo tends to have stronger data in the US, especially for direct dials and work emails at mid-to-large companies. Apollo performs better in other regions (LATAM, parts of Europe) where ZoomInfo's coverage gets thinner, and their LinkedIn-based data is often more up to date for job titles and company changes. If you're primarily prospecting in the US, ZoomInfo is probably the stronger choice. If your ICP spans multiple geographies, Apollo's coverage might actually be more consistent overall.
