How to Build a Cumulative Lead Funnel in HubSpot That Accounts for Skipped Stages
Hi everyone, This is not really related to Clay particularly but this is a question for anyone that ever built a dashboard on Hubspot. We use HubSpot's built-in Lead Funnel report to track the number of leads at each lifecycle stage and the conversion rate between each stage. However, the report only counts contacts that progressed sequentially through each stage. Many of our contacts skip stages entirely and move directly from Lead to SQL, or from MQL to Opportunity, bypassing steps in between. Because of this, our funnel shows 0% conversion at any skipped step and the report is unusable as a true pipeline view. Has anyone found a way to build a cumulative funnel in HubSpot that counts a contact at each stage they ever reached, regardless of whether they passed through prior stages sequentially? We want to see: total leads → total that ever became SQL → total that became Opportunity → Closed Won — even if those transitions didn't happen in exact order. Thanks in advance!
