Hi! We’re a recruiting firm, and we’re looking to build more targeted outreach campaigns to past clients where we’ve made successful placements. I’m new to Clay, but we have a clear idea of what we want to accomplish — I’d love to get feedback on whether these ideas are doable in Clay and how to best set them up: Pieces of the table / what we’d like to achieve:
Put our past placement data in Clay
includes company, website, hiring manager's name, hiring managers email, candidate we placed name
Job Openings → Check if there are any open postings for a list of companies.
Can this be done directly using their website URL in Clay or another integration?
Hiring Manager Status → Verify if the hiring manager is still at the company.
Ideally, we’d like to reference LinkedIn or another reliable source.
We have their name, company name, and email
Candidate Status → Verify if the candidate we placed is still at the company.
we only have name and company here - no email
Company Size Logic →
If company size = Less than 50 employees → reach out to 1 person
if the hiring manager is still there, that will be them
if the hiring manager is no longer there, identify another person who would be the best point of contact
If company size = 50+ employees → reach out to multiple people.
if the hiring manager is still there, reach out to them
Identify 4 other people who would be a good point of contact
Relevant Company Info →
Can we also surface recent news about the company? We want something relevant to reach out about
Push Data to Other Tools →
Push certain contacts into Salesforce for a call-only cadence.
Push others into a sending platform once that’s established. (we don't need help here just with the workbook itself)
Let me know if this is a possibility and if you have any tips on how to build this! This is an urgent need for us, so looking to move quickly on this. 🙂
Yes, you can do all of this in Clay. You would start by uploading your past placement data into a table. From there, you can do some data enrichment to check if the company has open job postings, if the hiring manager or candidate is still at the company, and pull in company size. Clay lets you connect enrichment sources like Apollo, Clearbit, or even Apify to handle those checks. You can also add logic so if the company has under 50 employees you only reach out to one person, and if it has more you reach out to several. Claygent can bring in recent company news so you always have a relevant angle.
and also once the table is set up, you can connect it directly to Salesforce or your sending platform.
Hey Mackenzie, this is all possible in Clay. You can upload your past placement data use Claygent for job postings + manager/candidate status set rules for company size logic, pull in recent news, and push contacts straight to Salesforce. I’ve built similar workflows before happy to walk you through so you can move fast
