Ben yes, you're exactly right -- Clay MCP today is built primarily for rep prospecting use cases. The idea is for reps who are working in Codex (or ChatGPT, Claude, etc) already while they're outbounding can tap into the data & workflows in Clay without being Clay users themselves. Yes! Clay already supports access to functions via MCP, and this in now available in Codex too. You'll need to enable the function for MCP -- more info on that here: https://university.clay.com/lessons/package-your-best-workflows-for-any-ai-tool While Clay MCP is in open beta, the cost is identical whether you're running the function in Clay or via MCP. So for example if you're using Clay MCP to enrich a contact and get their phone number, it'll consume the same number of credits via MCP as if you did it in-product.
