Hello! I'm a Field Marketer at Turing. I manage our event presence for one line of our business. We use Clay as a company. I'm particularly interested in applications for event prep for my sellers, as well as applications for looking for signals for the right events to attend.
Check out an enrichment called 'the swarm' which could be useful, but honestly, if your team and esp the senior/founding team are well connected it's worth starting with a pull of their own LinkedIn connections and mapping out who knows who across your target accounts, where there's already an exec connection or good account penetration etc. You can do that with some simple lookups in Clay between tables or across rows of data Caitlin O.
Welcome 👋 great to have you here! Clay can be super powerful for event workflows — e.g. enriching attendee lists before events, flagging target accounts who’ve registered, or pulling job/news signals to prep your sellers with talking points. On the flip side, you can also track signals (funding, hiring, tech adoption) to prioritize which events are worth investing in. We’ve helped teams set up Clay flows specifically for event prep + event ROI tracking, so happy to share what’s worked if you’d like 🚀 Best, Sourabh Panoptic Analytics panopticanalytics.com sourabh@panopticanalytics.com LI: https://www.linkedin.com/in/sourabh85/
Thank you this is awesome! How are you triangulating on common connections through LinkedIn?
Hey Caitlin! This is a common use case, and all sorts of interesting things you can do here. What would your sellers usually do to prepare for an event? A few ideas we've seen working well:
Scraping floor plan/exhibitors, enriching + researching account/contact for targeted approaches at events
Scraping LinkedIn/social mentions for event attendance to build audiences for trade show attendance
Using Clay to build audiences for self-hosted or partner events - triangulating common connections through LinkedIn, or using an enrichment like the swarm, finding orgs with offices or people in the location, generating custom invites programmatically, using historical data like RSVP/attendance to recycle leads
When it comes to analysing the right events to attend, you could set up lightweight versions of whatever workbooks you set up for seller prep that monitor a menu of events over the course of a year to analyse their fit for Turing. Happy to jam on any ideas!
