Hey folks - what's the easiest way to see an domain's last 12 ish months of traffic? Or their recent traffic growth?
Thanks for responding Amit. Currently have an ahrefs subscription, but looking to use one of the native data providers within Clay. SEMRush gives current traffic, but not historic, from what I can see
Hey there Ciaran thanks for reaching out and appreciate you jumping in Amit! Would second Amit and say similarweb would be a good solution here, although interested to see if any other users have any recommendations.
Hey there Ciaran that's a great question the team is always looking to add more integrations to Clay, I'm not sure if an additional SEMrush one has been brought up with the team, but I will let them know to see we can add one that includes the historical website traffic for websites.
You can look at historical growth by getting the traffic yoy from semrush Ex August 24 Vs 23 Vs 22 You will need to duplicate the semrush enrichment
Hey Ciaran! 😊 If you like the data you get from Ahrefs, you can connect it directly to Clay using our HTTP API. Here’s a helpful guide to get started: HTTP API Integration Guide. And here are the Ahrefs API docs for reference: Ahrefs API Documentation. Alberto’s suggestion is also a great option—using Semrush to gather historical traffic data year over year (e.g., August 2024 vs. August 2023 vs. August 2022). This involves duplicating the Semrush enrichment to get the data for each year. For Semrush in Clay, you can retrieve estimated monthly traffic metrics for a domain. This includes key data like visits, unique visitors, and pageviews. If you don’t specify a month, it will give you the most recent complete month’s data. To look at data over the last 12 months, you would need to run this process separately for each month. Feel free to reach out if you need further assistance with this! 🚀
The problem of ahref API is the fix cost of the membership
We haven't heard back from you in a bit, so we're going to go ahead and close things out here - feel free to let us know if you still need something!
