👋 Hello, team! New to Slay and have been watching the university videos. Am looking for cleaning companies in the UK - I find 742 records, which feels a little low but Ok. Then I look for people associated with those companies, and only find 226, which feels very low. So just trying to figure out if that's "normal" or if I might doing something wrong?
The number of people you've found (226) associated with 742 UK cleaning companies seems low, but it's not necessarily incorrect. Here are a few points to consider: 1. Clay recommends creating focused lists of 1,000 to 3,000 people for effective testing. 2. The number of results can vary based on your search filters. You might want to review and adjust your criteria in the Find People modal. 3. Try iterating and refining your search. Preview the results and make adjustments until you're satisfied. If you're still concerned about the low number, you could try broadening your search criteria or request human assistance by clicking on "Talk to a person" for more specific guidance.
Hi Paul, Thank you for reaching out to the support team! Your search setup looks good overall, though there are a few reasons you may not be getting the results you desire: 1. Targeting the titles that you're targeting typically yields fewer results because these individuals may have private profiles, restrictive security settings, or might not have LinkedIn profiles at all. 2. Sometimes people have different job titles listed that serve similar functions, or use abbreviations and acronyms instead of full title.. This is definitely the case across different regions and industries, so If you're only targeting these types of individuals that you also include variations of job titles (e.g. "CEO", "Chief Executive Officer") Let me know if this helps with the amount of results you're seeing!
I'm actually only choosing from the levels, not job titles, so it's not free text. Is that wrong?
Hi Paul, jumping in for Munnawar here. You're seeing fewer results in your company search because you're looking for businesses that offer 'janitorial services' or 'facilities services,' and these companies typically have less presence on LinkedIn. Since all our Company, People, and Jobs searches rely on LinkedIn data, this impacts your results. Similarly, for the Find People search, many employees at these companies likely don't have LinkedIn profiles, resulting in fewer matches. I also notice you've limited results to 1 person per company, which further reduces your output. Regarding just selecting job levels, while selecting just levels is fine, adding specific job titles alongside them would be a best practice to help find exactly the people you're looking for within those levels.
Hope this helps! Let me know if you need any other assistance. :)
