I have two different enrich people from Profile columns. One or the other will be blank (or sometimes both). I want to create a new third column that gets populated if either column has content. How do I do this? I have tried to filter.
You can create a new column that combines content from your two Profile columns using the Merge columns feature. Here's how: 1. Click "Add Column" > "Merge columns" 2. Input a formula to combine your two Profile columns This will create a new column that displays content from either Profile column when available.
Is that what you were looking for?
What data type do I pick?
I don't want text. I want the object.
When creating a new column to combine content from Profile columns, you'll want to select the "Object" data type since both Profile enrichment columns contain object-type data. To change the data type: 1. Click on the column header 2. Select "Edit column" 3. Under Data type, choose "Object" 4. Click "Save settings"
Did that answer your question?
There is no "Object" choice

Hey William. Merge columns will ultimately resolve to a specific field/value, rather than the full "Enriched Person object", so to speak. One thing that might help is leveraging the "Use AI" button when you create your merge column. You can use that to write more sophisticated logic for the merge options. You can even make it return JSON format, for example. A simple example here...
...but of course, you can extend that quite a bit, depending on what exactly you want to do.
Mark L. thanks. This kind of helps. My end goal is to have all the fields be here so that when I am trying to create new columns from one of the two different enriched person objects -- that I can have it be based on this column which is picking one of the two -- rather than having to do some other logic.
do you have any thoughts on that?
do you have multiple people from the same company in different columns? trying to understand how you are using multiple enrich columns if you can it's best to have each person as a single row in a table
William - Do you mind sending the link (url) to the table so we can take a look?
LuisArturo - https://app.clay.com/workspaces/433835/tables/t_b6bdHmJWB7cH/views/gv_Bkk5x7QhAgyz - The issue is that I am trying to find the Enriched Person object - but as you can see, one of the ways to do this does not work -- it does not find Greg's record. So I then try a different approach to get the record - which does work. I think the root issue is that the first method found a fake/false/not real linkedin. No problem. Hence why I try a different method.
Hi @LuisArturo! I looked at the profile enrichment issue. When we have multiple LinkedIn URLs for the same person, using the "Merge" feature helps consolidate the results into a single accurate profile. I've simplified your setup by removing the duplicate columns and running the standard LinkedIn Profile enrichment. Let me know if you need help with anything else!
