Project Ideas for Beginners to Build GTM Skills and Get Gigs on Clay

If you are starting your GTM journey, What projects to build to get a beginner GTM gig on Clay? I am learning GTM, Clay and other outreach tools in the market. But I can learn much more effectively if I build some projects along the way. If you have crossed similar hurdles, can you please advice me of some project ideas that I can start with to build my project? Thanks, Ankita

Hey Ankita, I am also in the same boat, however I haven't finished my cohort yet. What I learnt is that, you could use specific ICP to build a list, generate an ICP from claude to help you build one.

I would pick a company, analyse their existing customers with claude, and then upload and enrich their customers into a clay workbook. That way you can start to play around with the data to identify patterns in their ICP :)

Hey Jack M., when you say "analyse their existing customers with Claude," do you mean literally putting the customer details there, or analysing their ICP profiles?

I think the best would be to get internship or any project in company specializing in GTM work. This could be difficult approach but the most effective way to learn the skill

Pablo B. I usually use claude to a quick run through 10-20 customers listed on the company's website (featured logos), as it'll provide some quick insight into the company's ICP. I'll then get claude to create a csv with the names of those customers, upload into clay, and enrich and play around from there.
