Hey guys! Does anyone have a formula for trying to find duplicates in a column? I don't want to dedupe. There's just a specific workflow I want to run for one person from each company, while keeping the data for all the other people
You can use add column using the formula function and typing that you want to find duplicate contacts in the /column name
Billy P. I've been trying to do this exact thing, but no luck. I have an ongoing thread with support right now if you want to follow (link below). Could also be potential bugs in the mix that are preventing this from working, but also being told AI/Formulas in Clay don't work across rows. https://clayrunhq.slack.com/archives/C025KSBLPGX/p1755381446424059 Gabriel A. if you have a video or a screenshot you'd be willing to share of this working would love to see!
This is very helpful, thank you both!
Billy P. after speaking with support, the verdict is it's not possible to detect duplicates within a column other than running dedupe. If you happen to figure out a way though, please let me know! A workaround for this could potentially be to use ChatGPT or Claude by importing your data separately instead of in Clay. Good luck!
