Hi everyone, looking for advice. We’d like to start running meta ads to our clients and other lookalike audiences. We have about 9000 contacts with emails in our CRM. I exported all of them and uploaded them to meta, which didn’t create an audience bigger than 1000. I’m assuming it’s because the emails in our CRM are work emails and I’m guessing that most people use their personal email for FB/Instagram. Thoughts on how I can take our current data and use Clay to enrich it in a way that will allow me to create a larger meta audience to work with?
Hey Nathan W. Yeah, you’re spot on - meta struggles to match work emails what I’d do is run your list through Clay to enrich it with personal emails or social profiles (using Claygent or People Data Labs) once you’ve got that, re-upload to Meta and build a lookalike audience you’ll see a much bigger match rate Happy to share my Clay setup if you want to see how I’d run it.
Yep Meta usually matches best with personal emails, not work ones. You can use Clay to enrich your existing contacts with personal email addresses, phone numbers, and social profiles (Facebook, Instagram, etc.) to improve match rate. Once enriched, export those new identifiers and re-upload you’ll typically see your audience size jump 3–5×.
sayprimer.com thank me later!
I used to enrich personal emails then upload but someone recommended this to me and my match rates are much much better
