Sure, edited and moved my Q to GTM Career Advice channel as requested. Thank you!
Hi everyone! I was encouraged to share my π₯ burning fire question here from my intro in the Introduce Yourself channel. TL;DR: Iβve been given a GTM Engineering part-time opportunity using Clay with only having B2C CRM experience. Iβve just completed the Clay 101 Cohort and attended the Evolution of GTME call. In prep in starting my new GTME engagement, Iβd love any insight on any other prep work I should do like the intro to python and java script mentioned on the call. Also it would be great learn if anyone had a similar intro experience into GTME and Clay. TL;But Still Read π₯ Burning question: This part-time GTME engagement wonβt start until December or January, and Iβll do as much prep as I can on B2B ways of working, HubSpot (their CRM), and Clay knowledge building until then. I attended an Evolution of GTME call that Clay hosted back in October. Reviewing the GTME archetypes discussed on the call, I believe Iβm a mix between the Outbound Architect and CRM Organizer. It was recommended to take an intro to python and java script course on the call. Are there any other courses I should consider while I have a month or so to prep before this engagement? I do have a Coursera subscription and have intro to HubSpot and SQL courses on my list! Also along with Clay, has anyone newly transitioned to B2B and open to sharing your experience? Thank you!
Hi everyone, I'm Danielle!

π©π»βπ¨ Company / Role:
I've been a CRM and Product Growth Marketing Consultant for the past 3 years supporting clients within various industries
π Background:
I'm a technical marketer and for the past 7+ years I've been in CRM in a B2C capacity within various industries: CPG, retail, fintech, automotive services, restaurant marketplace / app-based delivery.
I specialize in marketing operations and martech stack maintenance. I've done 4 customer engagement platform migrations so far throughout my career: Oracle β‘οΈ Marigold / Cheetah Digital, Iterable β‘οΈ Braze, SFMC β‘οΈ Zeta Marketing Platform, and Braze β‘οΈ to an in-house custom platform.
Clay Goals:
Clay was introduced to me when I was considered for a. part-time GTM Engineering role β and essentially it was only offered to me. This would be my first B2B SaaS role and the org is open with me coming in with B2C only experience, plus adding (learning) my GTME responsibilities.
So I enrolled in the cohort to not just learn the basics of Clay and GTME, but get visibility the B2B world. I learned what ICP means from the first live cohort call π I'm so impressed with the Clay platform and the education Clay provides! I'm lucky this org is flexible and open to my B2C and martech experience.
π Fun Facts:
I do love building my professional skills, but love having my own identity outside of my work. I have a lot of hobbies, and if thereβs an app to support it Iβm on it! I love apps because they keep me accountable:
Peloton for working out π΄ποΈββοΈ
HelloTalk and Babbel for Spanish πͺπΈ I'm specifically practicing Castilian Spanish and would love more language exchange partners if anyone is interested!
