Hi, Support. What is the best way to duplicate a table to use the same headers and format? Then does it duplicate the prompts?
Hi Omar, thanks for reaching out! Duplicating a table will duplicate all of your table columns and prompts, just not the table data itself! Here's how to duplicate a table below. Let me know if you have any other questions! ๐ https://downloads.intercomcdn.com/i/o/w28k1kwz/1257836480/9eda2669aafb7a72f06bf0ebc15e/AD_4nXdgvOG9niP5C2H3ScBomj0nx_0OpvR8Y-hwzBg7_EHza8Bdmo3CvT9Rk5UL6PHA2QlfqZHrsLhuk_yjdHgVeAlmB5CU1jJPJuu4uefdEQCnnHQFQ4TujQYMWhOOpwDe6Z0NPPwooFJpDWhsuRfzhlI_e_4?expires=1732032000&signature=b584358d9976e9ca3a8683d4d8cb904b31d8eef14e55205ebbbc9a4f95bede16&req=dSIiEcF9m4VXWfMW1HO4zSuD2z%2F2cGxAM0myRHsvWGxhS1AnCDDPesuLtDJT%0AGB8j%0A
Thanks Tanvi. Seems easy enough. Once I do that and I have the same headers, do I import my new list into the copied table? I tried it before and it didn't populate the data.
Hey Omar, to import the table data into your duplicate table you will need to export the data from your original table as a CSV and then import this CSV file into your new table! You can find both of these options under the Actions menu in the top right!
Hey there - just wanted to check in here to see if you needed anything else! Feel free to reply back here if you do.
Hi Support. Essentially what i want to do is reduce the time that it takes me to build each list. I spend a lot of time creating a new campaign. Can I have a master list that i just keep adding to, and that automatically feeds into smartlead? What is the best way that I can do this? Any educational material that you can point me to or best practices?
Hi Omar, yes you can do this! All of our tables have row limits of 50,000 rows. What you can do is create a find people table and set up your workflow with all of your enrichments. From here, you can continue adding new sources to your find people table which will allow you to expand on the lists that you have already built
Awesome! Thanks Tanvi. Are their any resources that you can point me to?
And then, is there a way to take any inbound leads and push into Clay? I'd love to learn these two methods if possible! Thanks
Hey Omar, here's a quick example video for you about how to add sources to your people table
Here's our online course about automating inbound in Clay, highly recommend checking it out! https://www.clay.com/university/course/automated-inbound If you're looking to just learn more about the product, we recommend checking outthis quick demo video and looking at the rest of the resources at clay.com/university, especially Clay 101. Weโve also started offering open office hours 2x a week to walkthrough Clayโs foundations and answer questions live! You can register for that here. Let me know if you have any other questions! ๐
We haven't heard back from you in a bit, so we're going to go ahead and close things out here - feel free to let us know if you still need something!
Hi Support. Are you guys working today on Thanksgiving?
Hey, thanks for reaching out Omar - Yes we do :)
Hi Bo, how are you? I am trying to make my life easier by not having to create a new table everytime I add new leads (not sure if you can see the earlier chat). If I create a 'CSV upload table' where I bring in a list from an external source, does the formatting have to be the same? MOre specifically, I brought in a list from maybe Listkit, which uploaded fine, and added each column that was duplicated. Then, I tried to upload a list from Apollo, which didn't upload. The rows say 8, but only show 2. What did I do wrong and how do i correct?
Yes, when you re-import the leads, it should allow you to map the table to the right column without any issues. It typically would be an issue of CSV. Can you show me on a Loom the CSV you uploaded in the table? I'll be able to tell you what went wrong here :)
Hi support, quick question. I want to use Million Verifier as a list cleaner and it has an API, but CLay does not 'recognize it'. Is there a way that I can still use it as an integration?
Hey! You can totally use Million Verifier with Clay even though it's not a built-in integration. Here's how to set it up: 1. Use the HTTP API enrichment as GET 2*. Copy this endpoint format:* https://api.millionverifier.com/api/v3/?api=your-api-key&email=test@example.com&timeout=10 3. Replace 'your-api-key' with your actual API key 4. Replace 'test@example.com' with your email column using the forward slash notation Let me know if you want me to help you set up the formula - happy to walk you through it! ๐
Thanks Bo. I was supposed to make a video for you with my problem, but I realized that I could use APollo with the api. So i'm testing that. hopefully it gets a bit easier. I appreciate you guys
Hi Support. What is 'your email column' supposed to be?
Hey! The email column type is basically just a way to help Clay understand which column contains emails. When you mark a column as "email type", Clay gets smarter about using that data - especially when you're adding enrichments. Without it, Clay might not automatically connect the dots when you're trying to use that email info. Want me to show you how to set this up for your columns? ๐
Hi Bo. Yes, can you please help? I found the email column that I will be working in. It's listed in 'business email'. How do I replace my email within the text?
Do you mind sending the link to the table so we can take a look? https://downloads.intercomcdn.com/i/o/1171717996/ac7729f84b426e1d0358af02/image.png?expires=1732995900&signature=4b2a845c33154d6b6ac26673624aeb5112885347301c9cccde92554a75fde85d&req=dSEgF85%2FmohWX%2FMW1HO4zYTywSn1D5If2BKsam%2FhVPvtIA%3D%3D%0A
I see the change but don't know what it means. So within the endpoint that you provided, change the 'test@exmple.com' to 'email@email.com' ?
Hey! I want to help but I'm a bit lost on what you're trying to do here. Could you tell me: 1. What are you trying to achieve? 2. Are you trying to add data to a table or something else? Once I know your goal, I can show you the best way to do it - whether that's manual entry, importing data, or something else! ๐ค When you want to add data in a table, you can add it manually like I added the text, you can import it by clicking on the actions button on the top right > import and select what you want to import, then map the values to the fields.
Thanks Bo, I believe that I am a bit outside of my league here, and am trying to keep up. My goal is to create a table so that I can just continue to add leads directly into a duplicate table, so that I can save time on building the same table each time. I use Apollo to download leads and have usually uploaded to Clay as a CSV. I just integrated Apollo so that hopefully it is easy to upload and I don't have to do a CSV. Next, I wanted to have the email addresses from Apollo, verified with Million Verifier. Hopefully this helps. And if so, how can I make my life easier and my outreach process faster and smoother.
Thanks for explaining! Totally get what you're trying to do - let's make this super simple for you! 1. Click "Actions" in the top right corner 2. Hit "Import" to bring in your Apollo CSV data 3. Match up the fields with where you want them to go You can keep adding leads this way until you hit 50k rows. And hey - if you need more space, just duplicate the table! ๐
Thanks Bo, I am trying to download this test CSV into a table and it isn;t transferring with the same rows. I've included a pic using the same csv files between the two tables and I can't get it to populate properly. The new table 'apollo-contacts' I uploaded into a new table. What am I doing wrong that I can't get the same data into my "*Master External upload"?
Hey! Ah I see what's happening - you're trying to move data between tables! That's actually a different process than using CSVs. Here's how to do it: 1. First, add your Clay API key in your profile settings > integrations 2. Go to the table with your data 3. Click "Add enrichment" in the top right 4. Look for "Write to other table" enrichment 5. Map your columns to match where you want the data to go 6. Hit run! http://www.clay.com/university/lesson/write-to-table-integration-overview https://www.clay.com/university/lesson/write-to-table-clay-101 If you simply want to import a CSV (a file from your computer, you can do this more easily) by going int he table you previously sent me (that I added the email and click on Actions > Import > CSV https://www.clay.com/university/lesson/csv-import-overview Want me to walk you through which fields to map? Just let me know if you get stuck at any point! ๐

Hi, I wanted to go over this again if possible. I download leads from apollo and want to use Million Verifier to ensure that they are cleaned. How can I use HTTP API to clean them before they go into Smartlead? Thanks
Hey Omar! Thanks for reaching out. Just to confirm, you'd like to use Million verifier to validate the emails and only send the emails marked as valid to Smartlead? Do you have a table you're trying to set this up in? Happy to review your current set up.
Hi Daniela, I want to use table: https://app.clay.com/workspaces/237559/tables/t_T3XiSDY7gA3M/views/gv_kWtUfk6dGhdV
Is there a way to have it automatically scrubbed before being pushed into smartlead? I'm looking for an easier way to outsource my table to a teammate so that I don't have to keep 'doing' stuff and it is more plug and play. Lemme know if this is possible and what my abilities can be for my use case
Hey there Omar thanks for reaching out, jumping in for Daniela here, what you will do is create the HTTP API column and then following the screenshot below enter in your API key were the "your-api-key" part is then save and run. https://downloads.intercomcdn.com/i/o/w28k1kwz/1273880354/e5f8d615711ea2c62050fad3fff3/image.png?expires=1733172300&signature=eb6c0ec335e17f427a9d7c5bc32518fbee18402b4c02ece88a0afa023fed7270&req=dSIgFcF2nYJaXfMW1HO4zZhV41jNqjLuQy6UqtsxgYe11oT1Su0TWpP8fS8U%0AW9Mt%0A
Hi Luis Arturo, that makes a lot more sense! I'll try this

Hi SUpport. If I duplicated a table, but no longer want an enrichment to run, can I just hide it? If I do that, will it run in the background, or should I just delete it? How do you handle unused columns? Thanks
Hey there Omar thanks for reaching out this is a good question. In this case it is better just to delete the column, as even if you hide the column, it may still run if the trigger that will tell the column to run is met.
Hi LuisArturo, okay, I will make sure that I do that. I was never really sure. THank you for the continued help!
Can you tell me what I did? https://app.clay.com/workspaces/237559/tables/t_NxPFEPzsDF4q/views/gv_kkvByupAh63Phttps://app.clay.com/workspaces/237559/tables/t_NxPFEPzsDF4q/views/gv_kkvByupAh63P After deleting the unused fields, 'push to smartlead' said could not add. Can you check?
Hey there Omar can try toggling this option in the setup menu? https://downloads.intercomcdn.com/i/o/w28k1kwz/1277129382/88c930b1571e8f89f3aafc14e9d1/image.png?expires=1733363100&signature=4bc4b4efd02a142e1e08695f71bf93c04eb2ce29b7d763c7af576e9bd9069bc7&req=dSIgEch8lIJXW%2FMW1HO4zfZP7WHKZMp%2FLVFSR8bHWSuZdtyJOY8TyP%2FUcyA1%0ACWFd%0A
Done and that worked! But these three names were brand new and didnโt exist elsewhere. Why would that have mattered?
Hi Omar! Jumping in for Luis Arturo. I tried to check your table since I don't have context, but it seems to have been deleted! It's also worth noting that sometimes leads can be blocked for reasons such as being marked as invalid or blocked by a previous action, which could prevent them from being added to a campaign, even if they are new. Happy to look at your table again.

Hi Support. Is there a way that I can make formatting easier for job titles? For instance, sometimes the words are all capitalized, such as "CO-OWNER", instead of "Co-Owner" or it appears with characters such as "CEO|Founder|co-owner" instead of CEO, founder and co-owner. I find myself still manually going through each column to ensure that the formatting looks good, and that it makes sense. Any tips on a smoother way of doing this? https://app.clay.com/workspaces/237559/tables/t_T3XiSDY7gA3M/views/gv_kWtUfk6dGhdV Thanks
Hi Support. I had an overage of 9300 credits that I wanted to restore. Can you help me please?
I should have about 30k in credits. I was planning on doing a large campaign to use it all.. i didn't realize that the billing happened today. What can I do to get my unused portion back? I don't want to just waste the 9300 that I had. I thought it rolled over.
Hey Omar! Thanks for reaching out. Happy to helpโจ. Formatting Job Titles: The best option for formatting/cleaning up job titles to follow the same structure is the AI integration. We have a template called "Clean Job Titles" that can help with this. I made a quick recording below showing how to select this. Let me know if this helps! Credits: We can provide a one-time rollover for the 9300 credits. At the end of your current billing cycle, your credit balance will be capped to meet the default rollover limits (2x your monthly credit allotment). For context, on your current plan, you're only able to accumulate a maximum of 20k credits in your balance. Let me know if this helps!
Hi Daniela, thank you so much for the explanation for the credits and formatting job titles. I will try this out! And thank you for your understanding for my credits. Some months i have too many and others, it not enough. I needed it for a large project that I am doing, and missed my time. Thank you for your help!
Do you know of a way to clean job titles using functions only, or is the best way through AI or credit usage?
Happy to help! It's possible to format the column using a formula, but this may not be as effective if you need to make multiple edits or if the values in the column vary significantly in structure. Here's an example prompt (saved in your table) that you can use to format text to sentence case and limit it to a single job title if the input includes 'CEO,' 'Founder,' or 'Co-owner.
