·
·

Hi I'm trying to download some Clay spreasheet as CSV but when I do the process and download the file I get all the cells/rows messed up and not ordered like on Clay. Does anyone know why and how can I have my rows and cells in the correct place? I'll paste a pic here in the thread

There could be a few reasons why your downloaded CSV file appears disorganized. Here are some tips to help resolve the issue: 1. Remove commas, colons, and semicolons from your CSV data, as these can cause interpretation issues. 2. Ensure your CSV is UTF-8 encoded with comma-separated values for best results. 3. Create a dedicated "CSV Export View" in Clay before exporting: • Duplicate your current view • Hide or delete unnecessary columns • Focus on including only the raw values you need This approach will help create cleaner, more focused exports that match your Clay table structure. If you still encounter issues after trying these steps, you may need to request human assistance for further troubleshooting.

The CSV export mirrors your Clay table exactly, but certain fields might appear differently in the export. To ensure your rows and cells match the structure in Clay, try these steps: 1. Create a dedicated "CSV Export View" in Clay: • Duplicate your current view • Hide or delete unnecessary columns • Focus on including only the raw values you need 2. Remove commas, colons, and semicolons from your CSV data, as these can cause interpretation issues 3. Use UTF-8 encoded CSV files with comma-separated values for best results If you still encounter issues after trying these steps, you may need to request human assistance for further troubleshooting. Hey, It looks like Excel is having trouble interpreting the comma-separated format (CSV) correctly—especially since your fields include commas inside quotes (like in addresses). This can confuse Excel and cause the rows and columns to shift or break. Here’s how to fix it: 1. Open Excel 2. Go to Data > Get Data > From Text/CSV 3. Select your downloaded CSV file 4. In the import settings, make sure: • Delimiter is set to comma ( , )Text qualifier is set to double quotes ( “ ) This tells Excel how to properly interpret the values and keep everything in the right columns. Let me know if you want a version formatted specifically for Excel, like using semicolons instead of commas!
