Hey team, I changed an variable in the prompt and had the column "run all rows that haven't run or have errors" and it took away all the original data and it's having all cells to rerun. Is there a way to only run the empty or errored rows only... few thousand of credits just went to trash right there
To run only empty or errored rows without wasting credits, you have two main options: 1. Use the "Run All Rows That Haven't Run or Have Errors" option: • Right-click the column • Click "Play" • Select "Run All Rows that haven't run or have errors" 2. Use filtered views to be more selective: • Create a filter to show only empty or error rows • Run enrichments only on the filtered view • You'll only be charged for the rows in your filtered viewTo prevent this issue in the future, it's recommended to: ** Test enrichments on a small sample (about 10 rows) first ** Set up conditional runs through the "Run Settings" to specify exactly when enrichments should run * Use filters to ensure you're only enriching the most relevant rows Sources: Run Options Guide: Ways to save Clay credits | Documentation | Clay University

Here's the table: https://app.clay.com/workspaces/449716/workbooks/wb_7kPuT7UMdmPd So far the default auto-run upon table creation burned 10K credits with unneeded enrichment and Claygents and the "run all empty cells or have error" burned another 2K. 12K credits gone to trash before the real work even started 😂
Hi Andi, I’m really sorry about this - unfortunately there's no way to retrieve overwritten records after an enrichment has been ran on top of those rows. I’ve gone ahead and refunded the credits that were used due to this setup. To prevent this from happening in the future, I recommend either turning off auto-update for individual columns you don’t want to run or disabling it for the entire table. Here’s how you can set that up: Column specific - Go to edit your column, and navigate to run settings, here you can do this: https://downloads.intercomcdn.com/i/o/1137779497/e675647530189aca4d01a2d7/CleanShot+2024-08-07+at+10_23_15.gif?expires=1739221200&signature=c8727be5dca1b878503f1816841e13da90fed71a5c356bd8d8f79226babf37c8&req=dSEkEc55lIVWXvMW1HO4zYskgEwa2Id3bp%2BMw5UyFo33qw%3D%3D%0A Table wide - select your table name in the top left of your screen, and select disable auto update. Really appreciate it, Bruno! But I would still vote for have all setting to not be in default auto-run. #1 complaints about Clay on Reddit/Google is the learning curve and #2 is the auto-credit burn LOL just feel its so unneeded. It's extra layer of things to do during setup, so small yet so costly.
Thanks for this! Really appreciate your feedback, so I'm glad you took a moment to share it with us. I'll relay this to our product owners. Any additional context is welcome, so we can keep your situation in mind as we build out the roadmap.
