uhhh... guys... what have you done here: I can no longer edit a source I have to rebuild it every time?? there should be no companies selected on this particular table however it auto-fills itself from the current table and I cannot remove them like I normally would
You cannot edit sources in sandbox mode. To modify your source and remove the auto-filled companies, first return to your normal table, then re-enable sandbox mode if needed.
To edit a source normally:
1. Click the source column title
2. Click Sources
and the name of the source
3. Click Edit source
and adjust settings
Note that editing source filters after a table has run won't retroactively update results - you'll need to delete and re-run the step or duplicate the table with updated source settings.
this isn't sandbox mode
I also don't seem to have the option to "import to an exsisting table" when I press "find people at these companies" tab
Hey — sorry about that. What you were seeing before was actually a frontend bug. The source looked editable, but it was never truly updateable after the initial setup. That visual issue has now been fixed, so if you need to make changes, you’ll need to create a new source instead. Really sorry for the confusion. Let me know if you want help rebuilding it or finding a workaround.
so, this source can no longer be edited at all to add new words into the "exclude job titles" section? (For the record there were no companies selected and no company table selected on the sources initial build it is a straight job search and I didn't want it to limit, but now if I open the source it auto-fills the current table into that companies selection so I can't edit the rest of it)
You can still edit things like job title, location, and excluded job titles — but you can’t change the selected table or exclusion table. That’s always been the case, though a visual bug previously made it look editable when it wasn’t.
I can't edit anything because it auto-fills the "companies" table, that was blank when the source was created so If I try to edit any other setting it gives that red warning there
is there some way to turn that auto-filling setting off?
feel free to give it a shot and edit that https://app.clay.com/workspaces/406122/workbooks/wb_jcFBVAaR5e7t/tables/t_F97qE8ZKNKkU/views/gv_G8McuuBbs5kb table, I need to add the word "document" to the job titles to avoid section (it is misspelt in there) and I didn't want to have to rebuild it
- Sorry for this, it looks like we've got a bug on our hands. I've escalated this to our engineering team to help look into it. We'll follow up here as soon as we know more!
Thanks, I hate rebuilding sources for minor things
I’ve heard back from our engineering team and can confirm that we’re adding this issue to our backlog. For greater context, our product team prioritizes bugs based on the severity of the issue and how widespread of an experience it is with customers. To set expectations, items like this may not be addressed for some time. The timeline is based on the team's current existing set of work and upcoming feature releases, all subject to change. So what happens now? Now that your issue has been logged, I will tentatively mark this as closed. Please note that I will reach out to you as soon as I receive any new information about this bug. If you don’t hear from me, then the engineering team is still working on it. As soon as there's an update, this conversation will automatically re-open on my end and I will follow up with you. Do you have any further questions before I step away from this conversation until I have an update for you?
