Hey folks. I’ve been using clay for more then 1 years and honestly for a long time I was making a lot of mistakes and burning credits unnecessarily but after recently completing the clay course everything clicked my workflows are cleaner I’m not wasting credits and I’m not running into avoidable errors
So my advice to anyone using clay learn it properly first then implement it. It’ll save you a ton of time and money.
Hi,
I'm brand new here, but I started with Clay 101. So, I hope I'm doing the right steps.
In your opinion there is a specific course that you can suggest me?
Thanks for your attention
Michele
Michele V. I am learning Clay and am sure starting the Clay 101 and other courses in the Clay university is the first step of the successful journey. There are plenty of documentations on Clay to study.
Credits can be used up quickly if you’re not paying attention. During the learning phase, especially when using free credits, it’s best to be intentional. Start by enriching just 1–2 rows (this is my approach to control the credit usage) to review the results before scaling, which helps conserve credits for other tasks.
Keep in mind that different LLM models consume credits at different rates. Try running the same task across multiple models to understand which delivers the best results for your needs.
Finally, always monitor your credit usage when creating tasks so you understand where and how your credits are being spent.
Thank you Jingjing! Really appreciated your advices. Actually I’m following the lessons in 101 and I started also to find very small batches of data, like companies and then try to find people in a specific role in the companies. So, let see what happens
Have a nice weekend
Michele
