Finding Paths After Learning Clay: Seeking Guidance and Examples

Hi everyone, Teresa here from Dhaka, Bangladesh. I was part of a mass layoff earlier this year from my dream job and I was very much depressed for quite a few months. I couldn’t decide whether to stay in my Sales/CS path or jump into the AI/ML wave without knowing where to start until a friend of mine who works at a Y Combinator–backed startup introduced me to the world of GTM Engineering and hence Clay. Given my background, the automation and the workflow thinking clicked with me and I felt like this could be a path I could actually grow in. Since I’m still early in this journey, I’d love to hear how others figured out their next steps while learning Clay. Did you work on GTM projects for clients for free, internal automation work, or something else entirely? I’m trying to understand what real paths look like after Clay skills start to solidify, and any guidance or examples would mean a lot 🫶 Really excited to be here and looking forward to growing with all of you! ❤️
