Feeding Data into Clay: CRM Integration and Pre-Segmentation Tips

I'm curious - How do you feed data into Clay?

Pipe your whole CRM/database straight into Clay and segment inside Clay, or
Pre-segment elsewhere (e.g., ICP accounts, active users) and sync only those slices?

If it's the latter, what's your process to pre-segment?

I typically pre-segment in Hubspot and pull the Hubspot list into Clay and further enrich

Thanks for sharing this Danielle S. - we’ve had a few customers who want to be able to create segments by joining from data across their CRMs, Marketing tools and Product databases and then push them into Clay. They’ve been doing it by syncing their sources directly to Clay but have a high probability to bump up their Clay costs by a lot. Have you done something like this before?
