Hey Team! I'm trying to figure out the best way to find two types of prospects. The goal is to find the CEO/Founder/Co-founder emails & Linkedin profiles for both of the below niches:
Newly acquired businesses - I figured I'd use the RSS feed from SEC EDGAR with the Form SC-13D as a filter to identify those and bring them into clay for enrichment.
Businesses looking to be acquired within the next 5 yrs.
I'm new to Clay this week so any thoughts or tips would be fantastic!
You’re already ahead of the game by using RSS feeds with Clay—great job for just starting! 😊 Yes, using the SEC EDGAR RSS feed with Form SC-13D is a perfect approach to identify newly acquired businesses. The RSS will update daily, and you can pull that data into Clay for further enrichment. For finding CEOs or founders: • Use Clay’s “Find People” feature to get the LinkedIn profiles of CEOs, founders, or co-founders. You can check out this tutorial for more details: Find People in Clay 101. • To find their emails, I recommend using the “Work Email” waterfall found in the enrichment panel. Just click the “Add Enrichment” button at the top right to access it. Additionally, Claygent can help find key details like the CEO’s first and last name, LinkedIn URL, and more accurately because of the use of AI and browsing the web instead of being inside of one Library. You can specify these outputs when setting up Claygent. Here’s more info on how to use it: Claygent AI Web Scraper 101. Feel free to reach out if you have more questions! 😊
We haven't heard back from you in a bit, so we're going to go ahead and close things out here - feel free to let us know if you still need something!
