Finding Workarounds for Email Identification with Waterfalls

If I want to use 3 waterfalls to identify emails, I’m limited because of capped columns. Any smooth workaround this? I don’t want to export, import, export, import csvs in a loop to just fetch emails. Is the easiest way to just copy the entire column and paste into text, and then remove the waterfall, then create a new waterfall for the next person?

Yeah, that’s a common pain point with multi-step waterfalls in Clay — the column cap makes it tricky. One workaround is to stack waterfalls sequentially (run one, save results into a text field, clear the original, then re-run with a fresh waterfall). Some folks also set up a “scratchpad table” that just cycles enrichment results so you don’t need to keep exporting/importing CSVs. Not perfect, but it keeps things cleaner inside Clay. We’ve actually built custom Clay setups for clients where we handle multi-layer waterfalls (for email discovery + validation) without hitting those column issues — if it helps, I can share how we streamline that so you don’t need manual copy/paste workarounds.
