Managing Duplicate Contacts in Clay: Seeking Solutions

Hi clay team, I have a table with duplicate contacts. Instead of deduping it, I want to send the duplicate accounts to the next table. Is there a way to work around that or I have to use Google sheets?

Hey Sharad M. yes, you can! just filter the duplicates (like by email) and use the “add Row to another table” action to send them over no need to use google sheets

Thanks for responding Abdul S., but how do I filter the duplicates. Filtering only allows me with what is inside the row (contains or empty) How do I filter duplicates spread all over the table on different rows

Sharad M. good question! to filter duplicates across rows (like by email), you can use the “group by” step group the table by email, then add a filter to only keep groups with more than 1 row that’ll give you the duplicates, and from there you can push them to another table

thanks a lot Abdul S. I have tried finding the "group by" option on a couple of places like "view, filtering, sort out" but couldn't get it. Is it under enrichment section or something?

Sharad M. you're very welcome 🙌 the "Group by" option isn’t under view or filtering it’s actually in the column dropdown just click the little arrow next to the column name (like Email) and you’ll see a “group by this column” option there
