What are best practices when tracking the enrichment counts or not enriching certain rows in a table ?
Best practices for tracking enrichment counts and managing non-enriched rows: Credit Tracking: ** Use "View Table History" at the bottom of your table to see which columns used credits ** Set up formulas to calculate total cost per row across all columns Managing Non-Enriched Rows: ** Use conditional runs in Run Settings with "Only run if" formulas to specify when enrichments should run ** Apply filtered views to enrich only visible rows - you're only charged for rows in your current view ** Use conditional formulas to prevent enrichments on empty rows Optimization Strategies: ** Qualify leads before enriching by filtering based on criteria like location, company size, or industry * Add "last enriched by Clay" dates to records for automated refresh cycles - only re-enrich when data exceeds your refresh threshold (e.g., 90 days)
Hello Tommy! Thanks for reaching out! Could you give me a little more context into the situation and I can assist you!
Everytime a record is updated from Clay to Salesforce, I want to track that as one enrichment count. I want a tracker within my Clay table to only run once or twice for every row in a span of time
Thanks for that. Do you mind sending over your table link url for me to take a look?
Hi Tommy! I hope you're doing well. I just wanted to let you know that I checked out the table you sent over, thank you for sharing the link. I've been trying to find a solution to the issue, but unfortunately, there doesn't seem to be a direct workaround at the moment. I had an idea to add an AI column that would output a number and increase it by 1 each time the cell is re-run. However, I realized that this could potentially cause an infinite loop as the data would simply be overwritten and it will not store what was previously there (to increase it by 1) The best option right now is to add an AI column that can track the timestamp of when the enrichment runs (because it will re run too) and update it in your SDFC. I know it's not ideal, but it's the best we can do for now. Let me know if you have any other ideas or if you need any further assistance.
I am getting this message at the update record action to Salesforce. We couldn't save these changes. These changes would cause an infinite loop that would prevent your table from working as expected. Please check your inputs and try again. Can you let me know what's the best way to go about this?
Only shows up when I map or used the Last Enriched Date by Clay
I changed the formula and the error disappeared, however, I am concern that the field won't be populated after every enrichment with the date which was enriched
Hey Tommy! Thanks for reaching out again. Taking a look now.
Hey Tommy! Not sure if this would work either since it is not referencing an actively enriched column. Can you run any one of the Enrich Company cells tomorrow and see if it updates? If not the only way to get it updated would be to reference a column which we know will be run everytime the row is enriched/updated.
