i have a lat long and i'm trying to find the address (city, state) at a minimum. any advice? mapbox and aviato don't do reverse coordinates
Actually, both Mapbox and Aviato can help with reverse geocoding! The Mapbox "Normalize Location" action accepts coordinates as input and returns detailed address info including city, state, street address, and more. [1]
Try using your lat/long coordinates directly in either integration's location field.
Is that what you were looking for?
no -- you are wrong
I'm sorry to hear that. I'll connect you to a human agent who can assist you further.
it does not accept coordinates as an input, i just tried

Hi Andy, thanks for reaching out! Have you tried using the Google Maps Geocoding API? It can reverse geocode latitude and longitude and return the address data in JSON format.
no, how do i do that?
Hi Andy! Happy to help. You just need two steps:
Generate a Google Maps API key
Use that key with Clay’s HTTP API action
You’ll also find walkthroughs on YouTube if you search those topics.
thank you mayato -- if i wanted to use this same logic to help me find the electrical utility serving a specific address, how would i do that?
Hi Andy, if you want find the local business based on lat long data, you can Scrape Google Maps data by using SerpAPI.
