Having issues being able to paste columns of info into Clay columns. It won't paste into the rows. I made this Loom to explain a bit further the issue im having: https://www.loom.com/share/9689dd9954884584b9658a8d89e6d542
That's frustrating—let me help fix this. There's currently an A/B test running that blocks copy/paste functionality for trial users.
Try these alternatives:
• Use bulk copy-paste for large amounts of data—Clay asynchronously fetches stored cell data beyond what's visible [1]
• When pasting comma-separated lists, Clay automatically detects and parses them as distinct rows
• Export via integrations like Google Sheets instead of direct paste
If you're still having issues, the trial limitation might be affecting your account.

Hi John, just a follow-up, when you copy “line-by-line” output from ChatGPT, it’s still just one block of text with line breaks. In Clay, a line break doesn’t automatically translate into separate table rows, so everything ends up pasted into a single cell/row instead of mapping row-by-row.
Best workaround: export the content into a CSV, then bring it into Clay as structured rows:
Put the values into a CSV (one entry per row).
Upload/import the CSV into Clay so Clay can interpret each line as its own record.
From the imported table, copy/paste the column data into your target table—now each entry will correctly map to its own row
Hope this helps!
