How to Set Up Google Sheets Integration with Clay: Easy Steps for Added Efficiency
Hi, am trying to use the Google Sheets integration - and am reading this page https://www.clay.com/learn/lookup-add-or-update-a-row-in-google-sheets-with-clay#:~:text=Add%20Lookup%20Value%3A%20Assign%20the,'%20and%20'Update'%20actions. I read this Step 2: How to Set Up the Integration Setting up this integration involves a series of straightforward steps:
Great - I like simple
Connect Google Sheets Account: Ensure your Google Sheets account is connected with Clay.
How do I know if it is? How do I enable this?
Add Spreadsheet URL: Paste the Google Spreadsheet URL in the designated field.
OK - did that, also changed permissions on Google Sheet to anyone with link to be safe that Clay can read this
Set Sheet Name: In the next field, enter the name of the sheet you're working with, for instance, "Sheet 1".
OK this seems to be working as I changed the Tab Name to Test2 (original!) and Clay presented this in the drop down (So it seems the integration is working)
Look Up Column: Specify the column you want to look up, such as the 'Company Title'.
Where/How do I specify the col I want to look up?
Add Lookup Value: Assign the corresponding Clay column to the lookup value.
How/where do I assign the Clay Col
Permission to Add New Rows: If no existing rows are found, enable Clay to add new ones.
How do I enable Clay to add new ones
Map Columns: Proceed to map each column from your Clay table to their corresponding fields in the Google Sheet for both 'Add' and 'Update' actions. >
Where/how do I map this for Update Where/how do I map this for Add
Save Changes: Don't forget to save your changes before you proceed.
Where do I save the changes ? In Clay? Thought that was automatic? A video would be super helpful please!!!
