Haven't used Clay in a while and need some help. I'm looking to find roofing contractors with certain type of filters
You can find roofing contractors in Clay by using the Find Companies or Find People features with specific filters. Here's how: 1. In your workbook, click the "+ Add" button at the bottom 2. Search for "Find Companies" or "Find People" depending on your needs For companies: ** Use industry filters to specify construction or roofing ** Filter by company size, location, and keywords relevant to roofing ** The more detailed your filtering, the better results you'll get For individual contractors: ** Use job title filters to find people with roofing-related titles ** Filter by location to find contractors in your target area ** Use bio keywords to find people with roofing expertise For smaller contractors without LinkedIn profiles, try using the Google Maps integration, which is particularly helpful for finding SMBs in specific cities. After setting your filters, preview the results before importing to ensure they match your needs.
Hey there! Thanks for reaching out! If you target local businesses, here's what I'd do: 1a. I'd recommend using the Google Maps Integration to pull in local businesses. HERE a video guide. or 1b. If you want to do this at scale, the more cost-efficient solution would be to use Outscraper, d7 lead finder, or other third-party tools to scrape Google Maps search results, and import them back to Clay via CSV or programmatically. 2. Use Claygent to find emails and contact info on the website. We have a template for that as well that you can simply duplicate: https://www.clay.com/templates/find-local-businesses-using-google-maps. Bonus hack: Most of the local businesses have Facebook. What you can do is to search for the Facebook page (with Claygent), take a screenshot of the Facebook page (with the ChatGPT: Analyze image integration), and pull in the email and other contact information from the screenshot. Also, here is an excellet external tutorial (with a template) with some great tips on local businsess and finding their contact info (watch the full video, it's worth!). Let me know how it goes. :) If there's anything else I can assist you with, please let me know! 😊 Have a great one, Daniel
but using those other tools, how would I filter for certain size companies?
Hi Avi, You can also insert a Claygent prompt into this workflow to determine the size of a business. Let us know if you have any further questions!

When I searched for the specific business with google maps and then searched for people it only returned 3 results
Are those found through LinkedIn?
