What is the best / easiest way to remove columns? I am over my limit of columns and still need to enrich phone numbers before exporting to Apollo to outreach... I'm not getting a response from the chat in the app
To delete columns in Clay: Quick method: Right-click the column you want to delete > Delete > Delete Column. Alternative method: Click on the column header > Select Delete from the dropdown menu and confirm your changes. Pro tip: Instead of permanently deleting columns, you can hide them temporarily. Right-click a column > Hide at the bottom of the options menu. This preserves your data while freeing up visual space. Clay has a 70-column limit per table, with up to 30 action/integration columns allowed. Delete completed enrichment columns after retrieving data to make room for new phone number enrichments. If you need further help, request human assistance by clicking on "Talk to a person."
I'm only looking to use columns that have the enriched data
For export preparation, create a dedicated "CSV Export View": 1. Duplicate your current view 2. Hide columns you don't need: Right-click column → Hide, or use the Columns button above the table to toggle columns on/off 3. Focus on enriched data only: Keep only columns with the raw values you need for Apollo Alternative: Delete completed enrichment columns after retrieving data to free up space for new phone number enrichments. Clay has a 30-column limit for action/integration columns The export will mirror your view exactly, so hiding unnecessary columns creates a clean, focused dataset ready for Apollo
As mentioned I still need to enrich with mobile numbers, so which should I do first
First, hide columns instead of deleting them. This preserves your enriched data while freeing up space for mobile number enrichments. Steps: 1. Right-click columns you don't need for export → Hide 2. Or use the Columns button above the table to toggle columns off 3. Run your mobile number enrichments 4. Create a dedicated "CSV Export View" by duplicating your current view and hiding unnecessary columns This approach keeps all your enriched data intact while creating room for new enrichments and a clean export ready for Apollo.
I'm still getting this error:
To resolve enrichment errors, try these troubleshooting steps: Force restart the enrichment: ** Click on the column header of the stuck enrichment ** Hover over "Run column" in the dropdown ** Select "Force" to jump start the column run Clear browser cache: Clear your browser cache and refresh the view to resolve persistent error messages *Check your input format: For mobile number enrichments, ensure you're using the full URL format including https:// (e.g., https://www.linkedin.com/in/username/). LinkedIn Sales Navigator links are not supported If you need further help, request human assistance by clicking on "Talk to a person." What specific error message are you seeing in the attachment?
Hi Zachary, Thanks for reaching out to support! It looks like you have a few questions, so I wanted to share a quick video walking through the best way to delete columns: 🎥 Loom Video To better assist you, could you share a bit more context about the table you're working on and the type of data you're hoping to enrich? That’ll help me point you in the right direction. Looking forward to hearing more, Nicole

02 Support I am unable to delete some columns, not sure why here; it's not giving me the option to do so
