I am looking to figure out best practices when generating tables. One of the biggest challenges I am facing while building them (especially with the sculptor) is that once a table is created you can’t add additional rows aside from doing it manually. Additionally, many times when I prompt via the sculptor it doesn’t show the table preview and it get’s stuck in a loop saying click “continue” but the button isn’t there, which forces me to exit and restart.
For the Sculptor preview issue where the "continue" button disappears, this sounds like a UI bug. Try clearing your browser cache and doing a hard refresh (Cmd+Shift+R on Mac, Ctrl+Shift+R on Windows) to resolve display issues.
Note that Sculptor has some limitations - it can only generate sources using companies, people, jobs, Google Maps, CSV imports, or web search, and currently can't modify existing tables. [3] For more complex workflows, you might need to build tables manually after Sculptor creates the initial structure.
Is that what you were looking for?
The issue is that I am using the sculptor as a dialogue to help refine the companies/people I am looking for, so if I am unable to make edits through the sculptor once the table is generated it makes it impossible to refine.
You're right - Sculptor currently can't modify existing tables, which limits iterative refinement. [1]
Here are your options for refining after table creation:
For new criteria: You'll need to duplicate the table with updated source settings or create a new table through Sculptor with your refined parameters.
Since you're using Sculptor for dialogue-based refinement, try Sculptor again from the homepage with more specific criteria based on what you learned from the first table. Be as detailed as possible about geography, industry, company size, and job titles. [4]
This limitation is something our team is working on - the ability to modify existing tables through Sculptor is in development.
Was that helpful?
If you still need help with refining your tables or using Sculptor effectively, I’m here to assist. Would you like to share more about what you’re trying to achieve so I can provide further support?
