[HELP NEEDED!] Hi all, I'm facing an issue where Lemlist is taking my plain text, and adds newlines, without expanding to the whole window. I want to avoid adding HTML for deliverability issues. Anybody knows how to fix that? It is making it look like this:
This is a known Lemlist behavior where message draft editor newlines get replaced with spaces, causing the formatting issue you're seeing. [1]
To fix this while avoiding HTML, you can use our "Remove Extra Whitespace from Text" formatter in Clay before sending to Lemlist. This eliminates unnecessary spaces, tabs, and line breaks that cause the narrow formatting. [2]
Alternatively, if you need proper line breaks, Lemlist's custom fields do support HTML - use <br> or <p> tags for newlines instead of plain text breaks.

Will that make sure that my paragraphs stay intact, but that only the newlines of Lemlist get removed?
The "Remove Extra Whitespace from Text" formatter eliminates unnecessary spaces, tabs, and line breaks - it may remove your intentional paragraph breaks along with Lemlist's problematic newlines. [1]
For better control, use our AI formula feature instead. Create a formula that specifically formats your text for Lemlist while preserving paragraphs: "Add HTML formatting with <p> tags for paragraphs but remove extra line breaks for Lemlist compatibility." [2] This gives you precise control over which breaks to keep versus remove. [3]

I did that and I still get this ugly looking test email:
Since the "Remove Extra Whitespace" formatter and AI formula didn't resolve the issue, try a more targeted approach. Use our AI formula with this specific prompt: "Convert this text to proper HTML paragraph format with <p> tags while removing all line breaks within paragraphs for Lemlist compatibility." [1]
This preserves your paragraph structure while eliminating the problematic line breaks that cause Lemlist's narrow formatting. [2] If you're still seeing issues, please share the exact text you're trying to format so we can troubleshoot further.

The email in your screenshot actually looks properly formatted - the text spans normal width with clean paragraph breaks, which is what you want. [1]
If you're still seeing formatting issues in other emails, ensure you're using HTML tags (<p> for paragraphs, <br> for line breaks) instead of plain text breaks when sending to Lemlist, as Lemlist's message draft editor converts newlines to spaces.
Use our AI formula feature to add proper HTML formatting: "Add HTML formatting with <p> tags for paragraphs but remove extra line breaks for Lemlist compatibility." [2]

the last SS I sent has one chunk of text only, cutting to newlines in the middle of the screen.
The issue you're describing is Lemlist's behavior where it converts newlines to spaces, causing text to wrap mid-screen instead of flowing naturally. [1]
Use our AI formula with this specific prompt: "Remove all line breaks within paragraphs but keep paragraph separations using HTML <p> tags for Lemlist compatibility." [2] This creates continuous text blocks that flow properly while maintaining paragraph structure.
Alternatively, manually replace all mid-paragraph line breaks with spaces before adding <p> tags around each complete paragraph.
