To identify companies likely impacted by US tariffs, you can use our data points to create a targeted list: 1. Company Location - Country: Filter for companies based in countries affected by US tariffs. 2. Company Industry: Focus on industries typically impacted by tariffs (e.g., manufacturing, agriculture). 3. Company Revenue: Look for changes in revenue that might indicate tariff impacts. You can combine these data points in Clay to build a list of potentially affected companies. For a more detailed analysis, you might need to cross-reference this data with specific tariff information from external sources. If you need further assistance with this process, please request human support by clicking on "Talk to a person" in the chat.

Hey team, trying to identify a massive list of SMBs that are likely negatively impacted by US tariff on other countries, what's the best way to do this? Im thinking I could build a masstive table and have GPT to analyze sites and decide if it's physcial goods, and if so, rate the likelyhood of import being from China, but that's extremely resource intensive lol

Hey there, thanks for reaching out! Great angle. Here a few ideas: 1. Import Genius Scrapes real customs records — you can pull actual shipment data by company and see if they’re importing from China. 2. Panjiva (via S&P Global) Similar to Import Genius, but with better UI and filters for company size and product type. Goldmine for: spotting high-frequency importers, matching SKUs to HS codes (the ones hit by tariffs). 3. Thomasnet + Crunchbase combo Thomasnet lists US manufacturers and suppliers. Flip this: search non-manufacturers selling physical goods — likely importers. Combine that with Crunchbase to filter SMBs by size/revenue. 4. Tariff Tracker Sites (e.g., trade.gov, usitc.gov) These often include lists of HS codes affected by tariffs. You can match that to product categories on company websites or SKU descriptions from suppliers. 5. AliExpress / Alibaba seller lookups Reverse-search Shopify stores or WooCommerce users (via BuiltWith or SimilarTech), then match products that appear on Alibaba. If a US SMB is selling something that also appears on Alibaba → high chance it’s imported. Let me know if you have any follow up questions! Happy to dive deeper :)
