Is there a way to select a "Project" in Claude if we have the API key plugged into Clay? I can't seem to find a option to select my trained Projects. The prompt limit is too short and lacks the knowledge repository crucial to my agents.
Clay's Use AI feature with Claude doesn't support selecting specific Claude Projects or accessing trained knowledge repositories. When you connect your Claude API key through the Account dropdown and "+ Add account" option, you get access to Claude's base models but not project-specific configurations or custom knowledge bases. The integration is limited to Claude's standard model capabilities without project-level customizations or extended context windows from your trained Projects.
is there a way to train a ai agent in Clay then?
Clay doesn't support training custom AI agents or models. Our Use AI feature connects to existing AI models (GPT, Claude, Gemini) but doesn't allow training or customization. You can craft detailed prompts and use the "Help me" feature to optimize your AI instructions, but the models themselves remain the base versions without custom training capabilities. For specialized AI needs requiring custom training, you'd need external platforms that support model training, then potentially integrate those through our HTTP API.
this is a missive limitation to the effectiveness of clay for my use case
Trying to deep technical signal analysis aligned with our value drivers. Without the 15-30 pages of describing our product, use cases, and keywords the signal agent can't surface relevant information.
do you have support for agents/projects on the roadmap?
You can perform deep technical signal analysis using Clay's Custom Signals and Claygent for comprehensive research without needing trained AI agents. Custom Signals approach: ** Create custom signals from any data point using our 130+ enrichments or AI agent queries ** Monitor websites, social platforms, and digital sources for technical changes ** Track technology adoption, feature rollouts, and compliance changes automatically Claygent for detailed analysis: ** Use Claygent to research unstructured data and answer specific technical questions about companies ** Extract unique attributes from websites, summarize technical documentation, and identify product features ** Gather highly specific contextual information that traditional providers miss Workaround for knowledge limitations: ** Break your 15-30 pages of product context into detailed, specific prompts for each Use AI call ** Use multiple enrichment steps to build comprehensive profiles gradually * Leverage Google Search signals to find technical content aligned with your value drivers This approach lets you automate technical signal detection while working within prompt constraints.

We're actively developing new features and continuously improving our platform. Our roadmap includes advanced intent signals, AI-powered recommendations, and more sophisticated AI-driven targeting and segmentation approaches. We're building Clay as a complete GTM development environment that combines 100+ integrations and AI agents, with ongoing development of enhanced analytics and feedback loops for AI-generated content. Are you specifically looking for custom AI agent training capabilities, or would enhanced AI-driven segmentation and targeting features address your technical signal analysis needs?
Also, working on 2025 Dell with a snapdragon X Elite CPU and get error messages to the point it's almost unusable. Co workers don't face the same issue and ironically my ipad runs tables no problem. Is this a know issue you are tracking and do you have and remediation recommendations?
For persistent error messages in Clay, try clearing your browser cache and refreshing the view. If you keep getting session expired errors, try these steps: 1. Log out of your account 2. Hard refresh your browser (Ctrl + F5 on PC, Cmd + Shift + R on Mac) 3. Log back in 4. If issues persist, try using an incognito window While we don't have specific documentation about Snapdragon X Elite CPU compatibility issues, these general troubleshooting steps should help resolve most browser-related error messages you're experiencing.
Hi Tyler - thanks so much for reaching out and for your patience here! Happy to help, could you clarify what the issue you're currently facing within Clay is?
