How to Force Run a Specific Number of Rows in Our System

Might be a silly question, but can we force run a set amount of rows? This "choose number of rows to run" won't force run on, for example, 500 rows. Instead, it's just goes to "stale data" on those selected 500 rows/cells. There must be an easy way to force run a set number of rows, but I can't find it. I'm almost certain that "choose number of rows" would force run rows in the past, maybe this went away in an update.
