Hey! I am a first time user of Clay and just got started on creating my first table and didn’t realize how the credits are being used. My teammate - Pat’s table even though more complex and has custom messages used less credits as compared to my table which didn’t even pull people or custom messages used up all our credits. I know we probably can’t do much but as a small company these credits cost us alot. Is there a way to get some leverage as a first time user?
You can purchase additional credits through credit top-ups from your billing settings - go to Settings > Plans & billing > Purchase credits. These credits are added instantly to your balance. To prevent future unexpected credit usage, use conditional runs in your enrichment columns' Run Settings with "Only run if" conditions, or apply filtered views to enrich only specific rows you're viewing. Testing enrichments on 10 rows first helps identify issues before running full columns. Credit top-ups cost 50% more than your plan's typical per-credit rate, so upgrading your plan may be more cost-effective for ongoing higher usage.
Hi Ramneet, thank you for reaching out. Ramneet - Do you mind sending the link (url) to the table so we can take a look?

Ramneet B. you are probably using clay credits for everything? To save credits you should use your own API keys for integrations you use the most.
This is an example of using my own api key in openai for simple gpt tasks. How much money did I save here? To run 50 rows on 2 gpt tasks/ row:
100 Clay credits
$0.2 using my own api key
You should do this for all integrations and enrichments you use frequently.
Here to help Ramneet B.! If you can share what enrichments you use in your workflow, I'd be able to give you more straightforward advice. You can dm me.
