Hey team! I have been seeing an error "The rate limits associated with this Anthropic API key are insufficient for this field" while using my own API Key while running Claude. Even after adding more amount in my Anthropic account and increasing my usage Tier, I still see this error. How do I fix this?

I am running 2-3 rows at a time and even then getting that error. Can somebody check please?

Hi Swagatam, Thanks for reaching out to support. Do you use this API key on multiple accounts? If so, you may be running into your rate limitation even though you've expanded your tier and subscription.

Got it, thanks for the clarifictaiton, just wanted to let you know You need Tier 4 or higher with your Anthropic account to connect your API key to Clay. If you're currently on Tier 2, you'll need to contact Anthropic sales to upgrade your account and request at least 450,000 TPM to ensure full compatibility with Clay's ClayAgent functionality.

Oh my god. So, I have to spend $400 and move to Tier 4 before I can start using my own API key?

Hello Swagatam! Thanks for reaching out! Unfortunately those are the current limitations. You can also consider using Clay credits for other alternatives (OpenAI or Gemini) if this is not the best option for you right now.
