Hi, in one of my tables, I have 'Enable Automatic People Search Updates' turned on ... but I'm still having to force-run the column to update it. Any suggestions for how to fix this? I want the People Search to auto-update any time I add a new company to the table.
Auto-update works at both table and column levels. If auto-update is disabled for the table, it will override any column-level auto-update settings.
To fix this:
Check table-level auto-update:
1. Click your table name to access table settings
2. Select Enable auto-update
Verify column-level settings:
1. Click the column name → Edit columns
2. Toggle auto-update on under Run settings
3. Click Save
Important: Ensure your table is not running before enabling or disabling auto-update.
You can also check the auto-update icon at the bottom right of your table to confirm it's enabled.
Auto-update is enabled on both the table and column, an it's still not working.
Since auto-update is enabled at both levels but still not working, this could be related to how sources handle updates. When you add new companies to your table, the existing data won't automatically reprocess - you need to re-run the People Search column or delete and re-run it to see updated results. Also ensure your table isn't currently running when checking auto-update settings, as this can interfere with the feature. If the issue persists after trying these steps, request human assistance by clicking "Talk to a person" for further troubleshooting.
Weird. On another table with the same data source and same settings, this works fine. But on the table in question, it forces me to manually re-run the column every time I want it to update.
This behavior suggests the table may have cached data that isn't reprocessing automatically. When you add new companies, existing data won't automatically reprocess even with auto-update enabled. Try duplicating the problematic table with the updated source - this will copy the sources and force a fresh setup that should respond properly to auto-update. Alternatively, delete and re-run the People Search column to see updated results, as editing sources after they've been run won't retroactively update results.
Hey Reid, thanks for reaching out - Do you mind sending the link (url) to the table so we can take a look?
