I am told by Sculoptor that the table column limit is now 200 - is this true?
No, that's not accurate. The table column limit in Clay is 70 columns per table, not 200. [1]
Of these 70 columns, up to 30 can be action or integration columns (raised to 40 if you implement a waterfall). Some sources also mention a total column cap of 100 columns on certain plans, with a 40-column limit specifically for action (enrichment) columns.
For CSV uploads, there's a separate limit of 72 columns maximum.
Did that answer your question?
I am a beta user and have some tables that are at 78 columns without error
As a beta user, you may have access to different limits than the standard 70-column limit. [1] While our documentation states the standard limit is 70 columns per table, beta users often have access to experimental features or higher limits for testing purposes.
The fact that you can create tables with 78 columns without errors suggests you have beta access to expanded column limits. This is separate from the action column limits (30-40 columns) that apply to enrichment columns specifically.
Your beta access allows you to test features that may not yet be available to all users.
