I just used ocean.io feature within clay and it used all 2.5k of my clay credits but only gave me just less than 900 companies, i think this is an error, can someone help?
This appears to be working as designed. Ocean.io charges 1 credit per result returned, but the total credit consumption depends on your configuration settings. [1]
The discrepancy likely occurred because:
Multiple runs or filters: If you ran the enrichment multiple times or had different filter configurations, credits are consumed for each execution
Limit settings: You may have set a higher limit than the actual results returned. Credits are charged based on the API calls made, not just successful results [2]
Auto-updates enabled: If auto-updates were turned on, the enrichment may have run multiple times automatically
To investigate further, check your table's activity history by right-clicking on the Ocean.io column and selecting "Run Info" to see the total credits spent on that specific column.
For future runs, set appropriate limits in the "Limit Results" field to control credit consumption and test with smaller batches first.
