AI credit costs are based on prompt and token usage, not a flat 0.5 credit rate. Different AI models have varying credit costs - for example, models like Argon, Neon, and Helium cost 3 credits per row.
You can control spending by setting custom budgets for each AI run, and extra credits are only consumed when the prompt's token count necessitates that additional cost.
Hey Dakshin! Thanks for reaching out. Happy to help. Clay doesnβt charge credits for generating prompts. Credits are only used when you run the prompt and the credit cost depends on the model selected.
Let me know if that helps.
Daniela D. Thanks for the clarification. In that case for finding a company is B2B or B2C template given below says 0.5 credit but after choosing that the model automatically changes to "Neon" "Argon". How to keep the consumption at 0.5 credit?
Hey Dakshin! Thanks for the reply. If the prompt generation selects a model you'd prefer not to use, you can select a different provider on the configuration tab.
Could you confirm if this is the template you selected? If it is, you can select a cheaper model (4.1 Nano) to run your search.
