How do take column data from company table to insert it as column in the corresponding people table, matching the company they were pulled from?
Clay automatically links your company and people tables, making this super easy.
To pull company data into your people table:
Click on any cell in your company column within the people table
Hover over the company field you want (like company name, revenue, etc.)
Click "Add as column"
This extracts the company attribute and adds it as a new column in your people table, automatically matching each person to their corresponding company data. Much more efficient than enriching each person individually!

I want to insert a column I have created in the company table. I can see the column I want to insert when I hover the company field and "Add as column" is displayed, but there is no content (while there is content in the column in company table).
You need to re-run the company row in your people table to see the new column data.
When you add new company data to your company table, you'll need to rerun the lookup in your people table to pull that enriched company data over. You can always rerun the column linked to the company table to refresh and get the latest data.

use lookup \
Yes, exactly! The lookup column is what connects your company and people tables.
When you add new data to your company table, just rerun that lookup column in your people table to pull the updated company data over. This refreshes all the linked company information for your contacts without using extra credits.

Taimoor A. are you referring to Write to another table?
"Write to Other Table" has been deprecated - we now use "Send table data" instead.
You can find this new feature under Actions → Send table data in your table. [1] It does the same thing but with improved functionality for transferring data between tables.
