Hi, is there a limit to the setup inputs when using Google Slides > Create Presentation? It only fetches around 20% of the fields I want to automatically fill in my Slides presentation..
There isn't a documented limit specifically for Google Slides placeholders, but your issue might be related to Clay's column limits. Each table has a maximum of 70 columns total, with up to 30 of those being action or integration columns (40 if you implement a waterfall). When you set up the Google Slides integration, the placeholders from your template presentation appear as inputs in Clay. If you have many placeholders in your template, you might be hitting the column limit. To work around this, you could: 1. Prioritize your most important fields 2. Create multiple presentations with different sets of fields 3. Delete completed enrichment columns after retrieving data If you need more specific help, please request human assistance by clicking "Talk to a person."
No, I only have 6 columns at the moment
But want to populate 30+ fields in Slides
Hey Leonard, thanks for reaching out! The inputs you are trying to pass to Gslides have a lot of null values:

Hence the slides do not get created. Just a note for next time—one message is enough since they all reach the same place. Thanks! Let me know if you have any follow up questions! Have a great Friday, Daniel
Any hint what could be the reason? How can I select the setup inputs?
Got it, so input variables are missing. Can you share a public Google Slide so I can take a look at the variables you set up? Feel free to DM me.
It looks like the template you're using isn’t the same as the one you sent to me "Clay_template":

Also, the one you shared seems to have a lot going on visually. Could you take a moment to format the presentation more clearly? When setting it up in Google Slides, be sure to use variables directly within shapes or text boxes—this makes it easier to populate dynamically later on. Let me know
Have shared PM with the example extraction for row 5
Hello, do you have an update on this issue?
Hey Lennart, thanks for your patience. If the variable name in the cell overlaps with another text box variable in the slide deck, the data does get filled in when we generate content. I see a few instances there. Can you try it on one variable and see if the data is mapping properly? Make sure to hit refresh fields. Let me know if this does the trick for you

Ah yes - that does the trick! Thanks!
Perfekt, lg :)
