How to Avoid Column Limit Issues in Clay's Waterfall Feature

Whenever I need to run waterfall for email and phone number (with validation), clay will send me the message that the number of columns allowed has exceeded. How can I avoid this situation?

Each table has a 70-column limit, with up to 30 action/integration columns. When you implement a waterfall, this integration column limit increases to 40. To run more rows when encountering the "too many columns" error, click and drag to select the rows you want to enrich, then right-click and select "Run # of cells". Alternatively, click the play button in the column header of the first data provider in your waterfall.

Hey Hana H. that usually happens when the workflow ends up creating too many columns (like from enrichments or validations) one thing that helps is hiding or removing any extra columns you don’t need before running it you can also break the workflow into smaller steps if it keeps happening. Hope that helps!

You're absolutely right! When encountering the "too many columns" error during waterfall enrichments, you can: Run specific rows: Select the rows you want to enrich by clicking and dragging, then right-click and select "Run # of cells". Alternatively, click the play button in the column header of the first data provider in your waterfall. Manage column limits: Each table has a 70-column limit, with up to 30 action/integration columns (40 with waterfalls). Hiding or removing unnecessary columns before running helps stay within these limits. Breaking workflows into smaller steps is also a great strategy to avoid hitting column limits.
