When pulling people search and you add a maximum titles per company, the total number of results disappears. This makes it hard to adjust searches and know what you're going to get. I've also found that once you pull a search, and then go back and edit the source to make changes it doesn't actually update the contact table. LMK if I'm doing something wrong here.
Also, I'd love to be able to choose --> Out of the per company limit, how does Clay prioritize the ones that are included
Absolutely! So when a limit per company is applied, there is a relevance score that is applied behind the scenes to prioritize the people results that are returned
Regarding your first two concerns, 1. Can you share a recording or screenshot of when the total number of results disappears for you? This could be occurring if you're adding additional sources in your tables, as most of the results may already be in your table 2. Could you share the table where you edited the source and clarify what edits you made to the source? If you save an edited source and new results were added, those new results should be displayed in your table!
When it just shows "50 results"
"previewing 50 people"
Hey there - just wanted to check in here to see if you needed anything else! Feel free to reply back here if you do.
Hey Rees, thanks for sharing this screenshot. What results are you expecting here? I'm not sure what the total number of results were before the limit per company filter was applied. Could you share the full screenshot of all the filters you have applied as well as the table link?
there were 1,000+ results. Before I add the company level filter, it shows "Displaying 50 our of 472 results" (for example) Once I add it, it just says "previewing X people" where X is equal to the value you put in for the per-company filter
I understand your observation about the difference in displayed results. Let me explain what's happening. The reason for this behavior is intentional based on how Clay processes data efficiently. We only process the exact search results once they're in the table to optimize resource usage, especially with the per-company filter active. We updated this display to avoid confusion, as the preliminary count wasn't always matching the final results. Since each row processes independently in Clay, the actual results are determined when the search runs in your table. This ensures you get the most accurate per-company results without unnecessary processing overhead.
We haven't heard back from you in a bit, so we're going to go ahead and close things out here - feel free to let us know if you still need something!
