I have a Clay table with ZIP codes in one column and business types in another. I’d like to use the Find Local Businesses Openmart enrichment and automate passing each row’s ZIP code and business type into the enrichment. What’s the best way to set this up?
Perfect! You're on the right track with those arrows in your screenshot.
To set this up:
Map your columns: In the Openmart enrichment panel, click the input fields and select your table columns: • For "Locations" → select your "Postal Code list" column • For "Business types" → select your "Business types" column
Configure settings: Set your other search criteria like maximum number of businesses, minimum review ratings, etc.
Save and run: The enrichment will automatically pull the ZIP codes and business types from each row and run the search for each combination. [1]
Each row will get its own Openmart search using that row's specific ZIP code(s) and business type(s). The results will populate in the enrichment column for each row. [2]
Did that answer your question?
No, the panel doesn't allow me to map my columns using the slash.
I'm sorry to hear that the panel isn't allowing you to map your columns as expected. I'll connect you to a human agent who can assist you further with this issue.

Hey,
That’s expected. Find Local Businesses (Openmart) doesn’t work at the row level, so you can’t dynamically pass each row’s ZIP code and business type into a single enrichment run. There is the "Find Businesses SMB" tho it's not the same
Those inputs need to be set manually at the enrichment level. Because of that, it won’t iterate through rows the way row-based enrichments do.
If you need this to run per ZIP and business type combination, the workaround is to split them into separate runs or tables where each enrichment is configured with fixed inputs.
Let me know if you have more questions.
Find SMB won't work as I can only set location but not business type unless I have an identifier - which I don't.
Is there a way to do this where I can use zip codes from a column and business types to automate these being found?
Yeah, unfortunately that’s expected. Find SMB only works as a source with static inputs. You can set a location, but you can’t dynamically pass ZIP codes and business types from columns unless you already have an identifier.
There isn’t a way today to automate this at the row level using ZIP and business type columns.
(With this enrichment) you can still use other enrichments like Claygent, and similar ones.
Let me know if you have more questions.
Do you have any ideas for a work around for this?
The main workaround is to turn those ZIP codes and business types into individual rows. Once each row represents a single ZIP and business type combination, you can run enrichments per row instead of trying to pass dynamic values into a single source run. For example, Claygent can help find those businesses. Some users also use tools like Serper via the HTTP API to surface them.
