Hey , can you please help me understand credit tracking in clay ? For example if i have created a worksheet in a folder and my teammate is using that same workbook and running new rows there . And i have added that teammate as a user into my clay account . Can i track their activity or do i need to create a new workbook to track credits consumed by them ?
You can track your teammate's credit activity without creating a new workbook. Navigate to Settings > Credit Usage to view detailed credit consumption across your workspace.
This gives you complete visibility into credit usage across shared workbooks without needing separate tracking structures.
Did that answer your question?
If you need any more help understanding credit tracking or have other questions, I’m here to assist. Would you like to provide more details about what you’re trying to resolve or understand?
The Owner column shows who created or owns the table/workbook, not necessarily who consumed the credits. [1]
If your teammate is running enrichments in tables you created, the credits will still show under your name as the table owner. Credit usage attribution is based on table ownership rather than who performed the actual actions.
To see teammate activity, check the Table History at the bottom of specific tables where they've been working - this shows detailed logs of who ran what enrichments.

i can't see their names in credit usage ?
The Owner column in credit usage shows who owns the table/workbook, not who performed the actions. [1] When your teammate runs enrichments in tables you created, credits appear under your name as the table owner.
To see your teammate's specific activity, check the Table History at the bottom of tables where they've been working - this shows detailed logs of who ran what enrichments.
You can also filter the credit usage dashboard by owner to see if they've created their own tables.

The Table History popup doesn't show user names - it only displays credit usage summaries by column status. [1]
Currently, Clay's credit tracking shows the table owner (you) in the Owner column, not who performed individual actions. When teammates run enrichments in your tables, credits appear under your name as the table owner.
There isn't a feature to see specific user names for individual enrichment runs within the table history or column run details.

what if i tell my teammate to duplicate the workbook and start working on that . So credits will be shown under his name or my name because he has copied my workbook?
When your teammate duplicates your workbook, they become the owner of the new copy. Credits consumed in their duplicated workbook will show under their name in the Owner column. [1]
The Owner column displays who owns the table/workbook, so once they duplicate and work in their own copy, all credit usage will be attributed to them rather than you.
